Environmental Audits: Incentives for Self-Policing

EPA has issued the revised final policy on "Incentives for Self-Policing: Discovery, Disclosure, Correction and Prevention of Violations," commonly referred to as the "Audit Policy."

The purpose of this policy is to enhance the protection of human health and the environment by encouraging regulated entities to voluntarily discover, promptly disclose and expeditiously correct violations of federal environmental requirements.
