Updated NPDES Compliance Inspection Manual Available

The recently updated National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Compliance Inspection Manual is now on the public EPA website. It is a guide for EPA inspectors and serves as a reference on compliance with NPDES regulations. The manual explains standard procedures for inspecting all entities regulated by the NPDES program.

These include: wastewater treatment plants, storm water industrial and construction sites, pretreatment facilities, biosolids handling and treatment facilities, concentrated animal feeding operations, and municipal wastewater collection systems.
